"My First Year"
July 15, 1999
It has been a little over a year since I became a member of the team here at IFM. It is hard to believe that just a year ago I was telling truck drivers where to go (both literally and figuratively). Now, I am back at my original love, computer applications (can you say "geek"?). I find it hard to fathom all that I have learned in such a short amount of time. It's like the old adage goes - "Last year I didn't know what a fiduciary was and now I are one." I am constantly kidding Maurice about how he ever survived before he hired me. The truth of the matter is, I feel very privileged and blessed to be able to work with such an intelligent, insightful and innovative bunch of people. I don't think a day goes by that I don't learn something, even small things.

In the past year I have helped upgrade the computer equipment and software; write and upgrade programs; and researched, I believe, every company in the S&P 500 and then some. Which brings me back to my letter to you in April. I have researched every company that we track and all are Y2k compliant. I rechecked my research and recalled my contacts - all are in order and ready for the new millenium.

One of the things I appreciate most about IFM is that we all have a specialty and we all respect the abilities of those we work with. We all take pride in what we can do, but we don't fall back on past performances. We are constantly looking for ways to make everything even better. I have seen each and every one of us look to do something to improve ourselves, and in so doing we also improve IFM. We, of course, are also working diligently to make IFM better every day. One of the things we have done to improve the quality of information at IFM is to design a Web Site. You can "visit" us soon at www.ifmservice.com and send us e-mail at lisa@ifmservice.com (or Maurice, Joe, Royal, Mike or Louise). We are hoping to make information about IFM even more accessible to our clients and proper prospects. Of course, unlike many of the large firms….we still appreciate your phone calls. So please, if you have any criticisms, concerns or even compliments, let us know. We truly appreciate the feedback. I also personally appreciate all of you, from those of you who took months to remember my name (you know who you are), to those who allowed me to help open new accounts and/or get information about present accounts or companies. I look forward to being able to serve you in the future as well. I think it will be interesting for us all to see what year 2k will bring. Thank you!!!!
